how my journey began

As a child, I learned quickly I had a sensitive soul, which manifested into an emotional container for my family.

Embodying my family’s emotional experiences quickly began to take a toll on me. Anxiety became a close friend of mine, one which still visits me today.

My unhealthy family dynamics also contributed to a skewed understanding of relationships, which resulted in difficulties with friendships and partners.

My experiences growing up, compounded with the relationships I found myself in, resulted in complex trauma.

Trauma that has left me with the understanding of the seemingly limitlessness of darkness one can experience, the weight of incessant self-criticism, and the exhaustion from constantly feeling unsafe.

One thing my trauma gifted me though is the unique ability to deeply understand and attune to the emotional experiences of others.

I knew early on I wanted to use this gift to help others heal. I followed that dream through to my graduate education in disaster psychology. I have been in the mental health field for 10+ years and have worked with refugees, trauma survivors, and more.

In October 2020, at the height of COVID, I finally chose to open my own private practice for holistic therapy. Since then, I have done some of my most compelling, fulfilling, and exciting work.

SO, why do I share all of this? Because in short…I’ve been there.

In so many ways, I have experienced much of what my clients have. I’m in the muck with you.

AND I know what it feels like to dig deep, face my shadows, and experience mental, physical, and spiritual healing. I've done (and continue to do) the work to trust in myself, create meaningful relationships, and find joy whenever possible.

That is why I’m here for you now. My goal is for you to come to believe in your own resilience and empowerment. Whether you are looking to find more fulfilling relationships, boost your self-esteem, or stand strong in your true self, you have the internal courage, confidence, and clarity to achieve your goals.
